OUR LEAD PASTOR
MEET RYAN HELLER
As the Lead and Founding Pastor of Edge Church, Pastor Ryan and Gena felt compelled by God to start a new movement in Central Austin. In 2023, the Heller family moved to Texas to start a new church for Central Austin after spending 14 years pastoring in Denver, Colorado. Before starting two churches, Ryan and Gena spent 5 years at UT doing campus ministry. Having previously lived in the Hyde Park neighborhood, Ryan and Gena have a passion for the city.
Ryan Heller is a visionary leader, seasoned church planter and lead pastor with a unique passion for preaching, reaching and leading people. With his gift for communicating complex Biblical truths in a practical and easy-to-understand way, Ryan delivers energetic messages that engage and connect with people no matter where they are in their spiritual journey.
Pastor Ryan loves helping people discover their God-given purpose and potential. He is a regular contributor to SermonSearch.com and is the founder of Sermon Sidekick, a preaching resource to equip and empower pastors around the world. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Ryan and his wife, Gena, have started three churches with a heart for reaching people on the edge. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, has earned a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas and is finishing his Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Preaching. When Pastor Ryan is not preaching and leading Edge Church, he enjoys investing in real estate, spending time with his family, vacationing, hitting the gym, and going to his kids’ basketball games.
